Before we chat about Open House, a few reminders
35th Ave Sew and Vac sew day 4th Sunday of every month (always the 4th even if there are 5 Sundays in the month)
We have not had many attend this excellent opportunity, last month no one came. You can come anytime at 10 until we leave at 3 and reservations have not been needed. You can bring your sewing machine or serger and create something for the kids, cut something out or play with yarn. Normally we do not bring any supplies to share or take any large amounts of inventory, we are there to be creative and chat since we are unable to do that at Open House. We are usually in the back class room but if there are strangers in there look in one of the other classrooms. If they have a larger class scheduled, we will be moved to a different room–just look for us, we are there! Please help us take advantage of this opportunity so we don’t lose it. There is no charge to attend, other places do charge but they do not charge us.
Sew and Yarn day at our office 4th Thursday
Is anyone interested in restarting this? In the past we were there from 9:30 to 1:30 so we can miss rush hour traffic. If you want, you don’t have to bring your sewing machine or serger or sewing notions as we have those supplies there. Please let me know if you want to attend and restart this event.
Open House anytime 9-12
We are ready to go this month. Omicron numbers have been dropping but still over several thousand positive cases a day, so we are asking that everyone wear a mask, hopefully for the last time. If you are not feeling well including allergies or a sinus infection (who knew that was a sign of being positive) or have been around someone who has tested positive, please do not attend. We really want to be able to have our March Open House with no restrictions. We will do the same as previous meetings, drop off your inventory and pick up supplies. We ask that you do not stay to chat. We have lots of boxes in transition so please do not bring any guests (unless they are interested in creating with us). We are even going to have 3 door prizes to select from! Winners can pick up their item next month. Plans are being made for a “real” distribution in July so we need inventory!
