Hi everyone, just a few things:
April inventory is on the website and what do we need? Girl clothes sizes 8-12, dresses, tops/skirts, whatever you want to make. Please remember that the deadline for inventory drop will be the June 12 Open House.
A sad bit of news. One of our volunteers, Donna Casanova passed away on May 6. Donna loved to make the snake book worms for the kids. She also crocheted around fleece blankets for Project Linus and read to kids in foster homes thru OCJ Kids. She had a very giving heart. We don’t have any details other than she did break a hip last year but the last I talked with her she was doing well and doing rehab. I understand that there will be no services.
Our monthly sew day at 35th AVe Sew and Vac is this Sunday and we will return to an open sew, no time slots or reservations needed. As of yesterday, the store is asking that you wear a mask when in the store but you can remove it when sewing/crafting in our class room. We will be there 10-3 and hope to see you.
Don’t forget that Will will be at our June 12 Open House to sharpen your scissors, prices start at $5 and cash only. We will do the same thing we have done for the past months, no meeting, just supply pick up and drop off only on and I will update everyone on the week of email on the current mask mandate.
