Happy Holidays to everyone!

Just a few things for the next few weeks……

We are going to have a pillowcase kit making day on Thursday, December 29 from 9:30 to about 2:00.  We still need about 1,000 pillowcases to cut and kit and I hope (fingers and toes crossed) that we purchased enough fabric from the black Friday flannel sales to create enough for our boys.  If you can help cut, fold or kit, please let me know so I can make sure we have enough rotary cutters, mats and work areas.  Please do not stop by to drop off inventory or pick up supplies as we will have tables set up for the pillowcases and will not have any room.  We have a frig and microwave if you would like to bring lunch.  If needed we can have another pillowcase day on Thursday, January 12 to finish our kits.

Our appreciation luncheon sponsored by BHHS Legacy has been set for January 14 at the Beatitudes Campus at the Luther Life Center at 1610 W. Glendale Ave.  A more detailed map will be sent in January.  Our lunch will be their delicious pot roast, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad and a scrumptious dessert.  Reservations are needed so please email me by January 5 if you will be attending. We are very excited to be able to have this event back after not being able to have it the last 2 years.

We will not be having an Open House in January so our next one will be February 11.  We will be at 35th Ave Sew and Vac on Sunday, January 22 anytime from 10:00-2:00.  This is an excellent time to use the big table to cut out clothing, bring your sewing machine or bring your yarn project.  Fellowshipping with other Stitches volunteers is invaluable.

At this time I’m not sure if we will be able to have a sew day at the BTSCD office on January 26 as I am having my right thumb surgery on January 17 and will still be in surgical wrapping and not be able to drive.  I will update you as the date draws closer.

I hope you have all your Christmas projects completed as I do not! Only a few things to finish but I have only a few days, so I better get-to-busy!

Wishing you all the best of holidays!

Sandy
