Thank you to BHHS Legacy and Jerry for their $40,000 grant to Stitches of Love and our lunch today.  Jerry’s support is invaluable to us and allows us to continue to be creative.

Karl had some exciting news to share. BTSCD secured a $100,000 grant from Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and with other grants, BTSCD will be able purchase a minivan with the plans to have mini-distributions at schools not included in our summer distribution.  The Phoenix Suns also partnered with Nike to provide their tennis shoes for our kids!  Hats off to Karl for closing these 2 items.

Distribution will start on Monday, July 17-20 with set up on the weekend before.  We will have the same hours as last year with kids being scheduled into the evening.  We will have 3 shifts so be thinking about what shift you would like to volunteer.

We added the following names to our Angel Plaque: Enza Manago, Debbie Grieder,  Sundial Crafters, Joanne Sexton and Anita Moser. Many thanks to them for what they have done for our kids. We “sew” appreciate everyone for their contributions.

We will be at 35th Ave Sew and Vac on Sunday, January 22 however there will not be a sew day at our office on January  26.

We hope to see you at our next Open House on February 11. One of our volunteers,  Stevi, is a Girl Scout leader and her granddaughters’ troop will have a table of delicious cookies.  Prices range from $5-6, so let’s help to support her troop! You can also “buy” a box of cookies and they will donate it to their church food pantry.

Thanks again for all you do for the kids.

Sandy
