How the Matching Grant Works

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS -Please Read Before Applying for the Grant or Purchasing

Who qualifies for the SAFE Matching Grants Program?

Schools must be classified as Title I schools in order to place an order. If all funds are committed at the time you apply for the matching grant, your school will be placed on the waiting list. You may still buy merchandise through our online retail store even if you do not receive a matching grant. For example, school districts that have Homeless Federal and State funds or other funding are can purchase merchandise directly from Back to School Clothing Drive and taking advantage of our reduced pricing.

Shopping in our Online Retail Store

Schools apply for our SAFE matching grant here on our home page and then log into our retail store on our home page. Once you receive approval an email is sent informing you of the amount of your grant along with a matching grant number and pin number used to access the online store.

If you are new to the program, you are required to set up an account in the store. Returning buyers enter their username and password. Using your account speeds up the shopping process.

Schools then acquire a Purchase Order (PO) from their district. Schools can enter their orders while at the same time acquiring their PO number, however, to complete and ship your order, you must provide us with a copy of your Purchase Order.

Enter your district accounts payable as the “bill to” address.  The ship-to address should match with the ship-to address on the purchase order (per the requirements from the school district).

Once you complete your order and Back to School Clothing Drive has the Purchase Order, the order is fulfilled and delivered free of charge to your school.
Invoices for your merchandise are sent directly to your school district accounts payable address.

HOW THE MATCHING GRANT WORKS

This is a unique program using a match to increase the amount of money you have to spend. No other organization or retailer provides this benefit. Once you receive approval for the grant, you now have double the amount requested to spend in the store. You must shop in our store to redeem your grant funds.

The total amount of money you have to spend is the amount you applied for and the amount we matched entitling you to shop with a total CREDIT equal to the combined amount which is capped at $5,000 depending upon how much you are approved.

Once you create an account, use the matching grant and pin number provided to you to view your matching grant funds under the My Account section.

Before you check out be sure your total balance does not exceed your grant amount. You must apply your matching grant number prior to checkout to apply your purchases against your credit.

You should see a zero balance. If you do not, reduce the amount of purchases to make the balance zero. Then proceed to checkout at which time a copy of your order will be emailed to you.
Your school will not be invoiced until all goods are shipped.

Once your merchandise is received, payments are due net 15 days to Back to School Clothing Drive by sending the check to PO Box 99, Glendale, AZ 85311.
