7 Ways you can Support Back to School Clothing Drive

One Person Can Truly Make a Difference in a Child’s Life. Here are seven ways you can help Back to School Clothing Drive fulfill its mission:

1. Sponsor a child. A donation of $70 provides New clothing, shoes, and a backpack filled with school supplies and personal hygiene for one child.

2. Volunteer your time to help at our Annual Distribution. The event takes place each July at the University Public Schools Phoenix in downtown Phoenix. Sign up for a single shift or the whole week via the volunteer section on our web site.

3. Sew for us in our Stitches of Love program. We have a team of over 200 dedicated seamstresses that make clothing for kids throughout the year. If you can’t sew, donate fabric and notions to our sewing Program or make key chains and bracelets for our children.

4. Take advantage of the Arizona Tax Credit for the Working Poor by donating up to $400 (married, filing jointly) to BTSCDA as a qualifying Charity.

5. Become a table captain at our Annual Dinner & Silent Auction and fill a table of 10. If you can’t fill a table, purchase a ticket to the event. Cost is $70.

6. Donate an auction item for our October Dinner & Silent Auction. Better yet, get your team together now and brainstorm ideas for creating a basket (e.g., coffee lovers’, movie lovers’, scrapbook lovers’, etc.) to donate to the auction. What a great team builder to meet monthly from now until October to raise funds to purchase Items.

7. Hold a sock or supply Drive. Challenge another team in your building to see who can collect the most packages of socks. In 2009 Bank of America collected over 40 pallets of schools supplies for Back to School!!!
